The Farmers Insurance of Minnesota District Office is currently seeking resumes for our 2021 Summer Sales & Marketing Interns! Our insurance agencies are scattered throughout the Twin Cities Metro area, from northern suburbs to as far south Mankato. We are looking for Students or recent grads looking for work experience in fields such as Sales, Marketing, Business, and Entrepreneurship. This Internship will enhance resumes with job experience and will fulfill most school requirements for internship credit. The program is designed to apply the knowledge gained from classroom instruction to the real world by exposing the individual to the essential responsibilities of a sales professional, marketing representative, and business administrator.
The candidate(s) selected for this position will need to be willing to learn about the insurance industry and Farmers Insurance as a company. Our main focus as an agency is to sell and solicit insurance products to consumers and businesses in our area, as well as provide top level customer service. A Sales & Marketing intern will help advertise, contact, and create new ways to reach prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
- Make initial contact to potential clients
- Reach out to existing customers for account management
- Social media/website maintenance
- Learn our company's marketing system (SIMS) and help manage for the agency
- Manage agency's bulk emailing and drip marketing campaigns
- Find, learn, and/or create new outlets of digital marketing
- Contacting and quoting leads
- Manage website reviews
- Help run and promote community events (face to face marketing)
- Assist in office administrative tasks
- Other duties may be included
